Without malice to anyone may I say a few things about

Vinayaka worship?

The objective of SriVaishnavism s to impart total

faith in that supreme power Sriman Narayana who

creates, sustains,and withdraws the entire prapancha

at his will.All the devas are creatures of his

creation.

However they are more evolved Jivas and deserve our

respect and reverence.

 

Our daily religion is mainly Kamyartha and is for

mundane desires only.SriVaishnavism teaches us to

entreeat Sriman Narayana for even mundane desires so

that in the longer run it prepares us for higher

sadhana such as mokshartha prayers.

Thus Srivaushnavists are trained to worship only

Sriman Narayana but this is done without hurting other

forms of worship

I stand to be corrected if I am wrong.

Dear Mama,

My apologies to you for writing in english. I can speak convincingly in Tamil

what I want to communicate and that too easily, but in writing in tamil on PC, I

am extremely poor.

I share your views on the teachings of Acharyas. Those who are sishyas of

Acharyas and those who believe in what the Acharyas have said without battling

an eyelid (I also am one among them) will never discuss these issues in public.

But for those who frequently keep questioning our practices, at some time, I

feel I owe an answer in a logical and convincing manner and that is what I had

attempted. Otherwise, I am one with you, in that, matters which are settled by

Acharyas cannot and should not be re-opened. I am a firm believer in this

concept.
