Dear Sir, Couldn't help resisting trying to answer the question. 1)Either the sea washed off the Shiva lingam or 2)a lot of people built a lot of lingams that he had a problem identifying the exact lingam he had built. All other 49 persons also saw the lingam what he made (but the did not seen the hiding of sombu). They thought that before taking bath in the sethu, a lingam should be made with sand is the sampradhayam. From this story we get that some foolish practices are also there.
