Ekadhasi Vradham

Dear Vasu mama,

 

Having read the postings on vradham on Gokulashtami and Ekadhasi to be the only

vradha anushtanam for vaishanavites, i would like to get clarified about the way

we should conduct the vradha on the ekadhasi day. Especially the aahara

niyamanam. I hear that 'arisiya binna paduthi sapdalam, tiffin sapdalam etc.

etc.' Some people say 'nir jalam' is the only accepted way.

 

Could you please clarify ?

Dear Deepa Balaji,

Just now your father in law called me over phone and asked about the good day

for shifting house. Finally we decided the 19th September to suggest you between

9 and 10.30.

Let it be.

It is very very simple to be a prapannan than any other chethanan.

All other chethanas are having count less of expectations / favours from perumal

but all those are only related to this Prakruthi. But a prapannan is having only

one desire i.e moksham. Our greatest acharyan Swami desikan explained in a very

very detailed manner in his " Prathana Sadhakam " , he says, that a prapannan

should not do karma even expecting the moksham. Prapathi means just leaving us

as a piece of cloth, we should not think more than that. It is his will and wish

to use that cloth for any of his purpose are just to ignore it. We should wait

as it is till getting his 'Kataksham'.

The karmas and things we are doing in this world is to respond this birth. For

that we should do everything according to the sastram. Which is also to avoid

getting phabham in this janma. Also to make it meaningful for one of the angam

of prapathi 'Praathikoolya varjanam'.

Nalla naal paarthal for subha karyams are described in the prayoga sastam itself

but where it is described about matching horoscope?

There more than twnty pages descriptin given in the " Varanasrama Dharma Khandam "

abouth 'Vivaha Padalam', as per my knowledge, rishis are using the word star as

" Malai, Nadhi, Nakshathiram ivatrin peyarai udaiya kannigaiyai vivaham seyyak

koodathu " in that line they have used the word nakshathram. They have no where

mentioned about nakshathram. When a boy seeking girl, they are simply telling to

the boy " Evalidaththil Kannukkum mandhirkum pidippu yerpaduhiradho avalai

manandhu kolvadhaal dharmam mudhaliyavai vrudhiyahum " . They have also stated how

to test the potential of a boy and which type of boy should be selected for his

girl. What are should be avoided Oh! they have explained a lot but they have not

atall touched this word horoscope.

Already I have stated, one should know his star and rasi to use to find the

correct conditions to do the nithya karmas. With my little knowledge mostly

Jyothisah sastras are used in Vedham only for Agama purposes. Some places used

for human also related to agama only.

The word used in jyodhisham 'Prediction' itself means not fact, it is

predicted, just a guss that is all.

There are lot to tell.

The real Gnanam only will happen for those Emperuman desired to give it. There

is no change in my idea. Also I will think to change only if a get a written

evidence from our acharyas like Swami Desikan.

I will continue this subject when I found time.

I am taking some leave I have to submit sevaral pending assignments.
