Guest guest
Dear DEvotee: This is a saying that the Lord expresses himself thru his devotees .The unison of mind between an evolved soul(Siddhan) and the Lord is identical. Take for instance what happened at Sonna VaNNam seytha PerumAL Sannidhi at ThiruvehhA near Kaanchi . The Siddhan here is Thirumazhisai AzhwAr . He was unhappy with the king over the way the latter treated his disciple KaNikaNNan . Thirumazhisai decided to leave the sacred city , where the Lord was lying down on His bed of Aadi Sesha . Thirumazhisai announced to the Lord that He was leaving the city and requested the Lord to leave with him . Siddhan was ready to journey out of the city and that is his travel plans ( pOkku or SanchAram). The Lord obliged . He rolled up His bed of AadhisEsha and started on the same SanchAram ( pOkku) of His AzhwAr . His mind set was the same as His Siddhan .Sivan here means MangaLam (Auspicious One) . The tight bonding between the Lord and His supreme devotees is indicated by this common saying . NamO NaarAyaNAya , V.Sadagopan - subramanian rama vaideekam Monday, September 12, 2005 4:00 AM [Vaideekam] MEANING RQST Dear Swami,I requested for an explanation for the following :" SIDDAN POOKU, SIVAN POOKU "Regret no explanation was forthcoming. Please oblige meRegardsS.GOPAL

So far I havee been thinking of Lord Siva for sivan poakku but in colloquial Tamil "Sivam Poakku" may mean loss of all wealth and auspicious things.
