[Vaideekam] sreechoornam

Dear Sriman Krishnaswamy :

 

Turmeric is dried under the Sun , crushed to form the powder ,

filtered to remove stems etc and blended with lime (Burnt kiLinchal), wetted

, stirred and dried for use . I have never made it for personal usage

but I have seen it being made . You have to experiment in small

bayches to get the right mix of lime and turmeric powder .

Namaskaram,

 

Instead of drying turmeric and pounding them , can i suse turmeric powder

available in markets and also can I use lime ( lemon) instead of burnt kilinchal

 

Please let me know
