Guest guest
Dear Sri Bharath Iyengar : I have covered the subject in yesterday's posting on Swamy Desika Sahasra Naamams . Swamy Desikan has commented on the subject who can be a Rthvik for specific Vaidheeka functions . SanyAsis , BrahmachAris and VaanaprasthAs are not to be selected for BrahmaNArTam . Their VarNAsrama dharmams are different . For SanyAsi , who has done Jeeva Sraaddham at the time entering in to the order , he is naturally not qualified . He has very strict rules on where to eat , where to accept Bikshai and the amount he can eat and when to eat etc . VaanaprasthA is in the forest and not easy to access. BrahmachAri has strict homam , adhyayanam restrictions .He is not ready for Rthvik varaNam . His eating protocols are quite different . Perhaps , Sri Vaasu VaadhyAr can provide direct quotations from source granthams on this topic from Sraddha PrayOgams . V.Sadagopan - Bharat Iyengar vaideekam Saturday, September 17, 2005 1:48 AM [Vaideekam] Shhrardha Karyam Respected Sadagopan Sir, It is said that only a gruhustan is eligible for being a brahamanartham in shrardham and that a brahmachari should not sit for the same. Could you explain why this is so? Regards Bharat.
