But have we to do 2 tharpanams on that day one being vishu and other grahanam. I heard tha ther can be only one tharpanam a day. Guest guest Posted October 16, 2005 Report Share Posted October 16, 2005 Dear Baghavathas, From the reference from our Sri vaishnava Dinasari, it is observed " on days of Mathappirappu, Surya, Chandra Grahanangal, Upakarmam, Tharpanams to be done fall under Naimytthikam. Further if two nymitthikams fall on the same day, both are to be performed seperately at the appropriate time " . In such matters what our learned elders have followed (Melayaar Seivanagal) would be more appropriate, If something wrong has been expressed please pardon me.
