If mu name has been d inadvertantly please make it d. Now for the doubt We prepare items for perumal prasadam? Is it necessary that the entire quantity prepared is kept for amudhu seithal or a representative quantity is enough? Dasan Srinivasan ***No message has been forwarded by members in the previous week. I deleted / or replied personally to members for message which I felt confusable other members. Then, The entire quantity of food prepared should kept before perumal for neivedhyam before consuming it for any other purpose. Also, yesterday when I wase doing the aaradhanam, perumal indicated me, that the person who is doing aaradhanam should not or need not have sense in the items what are all prepared for him. As others are restricted to see the 'Thaligai amisai' the aaradhagar also should not see the or should not having it in mind about the 'amudhupadi items' when it is under bhojyasanam. He can just say the general names always as 'Annam nivedhayami', 'Vyanjanani nivedhayami', 'Savyanjanani nivedhayami', 'Dhathi nivedhayami' in ordinary days and you can add 'Masha apoopham' for 'Vadai', 'Guda apoopam' for appam, adhirsam or sojji appam, and generally 'bhakshanani nivedhyami' for sweets and savories. And, you should count the number of times (32) if you are doing with real bhakthi, you should think (imagine) as : 'That you are drawing kolams at the places of peruamls to be seated, you are placing a rich aasanam for perumals, perumal is following you as peethambara dhari to wash his hand outside your house, you are pouring water in his hand to wash his hand( while giving argyam), you are washing his 'thaamarai thiruvadi' (while giving bhadhyam), he is getting water in his hand for doing his achamanam (while giving achamanam) then you are respectfully seating him in his (bhojya) aasanam, placing a huge and beuatiful banana leaf for him, he is sitting against it, now you are doing 'pariveshanam' (parimarudhal) of the items one by one, (what ever the items you have on that day, but you can give any number and any kind of food items which comes on your mind, so you need not see the items prepared on that day), you are pouring some water in his right hand - he does prokshanam on the food items, againg you are pouring some water - he does leaving those water around the leaf, again he does prokshanam on the food items when you are saying puna: sudhdhodhagam, now you should imagine, that all the items what you supplied imaginarily, he is tasting one by one .... I hope that I had indicated well enough about the way of doing bhakthi, the remaing method can be followed by you (members). I don't have time to continue it, my duty calling me. rest in next opurtunity. VAsu VAdhyAr Enjoy this Diwali with Y!
