Guest guest
Anega Namaskarangal... Wonderful explanations in simple form. Thanks to Sadagopachar for asking this question and detailed explanation by vadhyar in tamil, through which entire members of this forum are benefitted. I have few questions on this.. 1. I understand that there are certain conditions in picking up brahmnals for 12th day and mostly preferred either son-in-laws or closed relatives.. 2. Also there is a single person extra (who cook the food by himself) for the 12th day. I am not sure if this is there in vaishnavaite but there in smarthas). 3. May be silly question.. why is that till 12th day, everthing is done outside the house.. and only subasweekaram is done insdie.. Sorry if sthe questions are very silly..but this is the forum where we can get things clarified in simple, understandable form. Thanks once again. Adiyen. Seshadri Muralidharan ***Do not feel quilty while asking question this is the greatest barier which prevents our growth of knowledge. You should keep only one thing in mind when asking questions that the time of every person is very very precious so, we should ask only the real doubts. That is the intention of the question should be to know or understand or to get clarified somthing. (It should be a " Ari Vinaa " ). Also I (myself) never feel any question as silly, if a question made me to think silly, don't worry I will not allow that question to pass through the group. Because I am thouroughly checking every message (small messages) before approving it. Some huge messages can be approved without reading completely but it is depending upon the sender of the message. Thanks Mr.Muralidharan for the oppourtunity to describe my moderation method. So, I request all members to send all your doubts without feeling it as silly or any other. Now I am coming to your questions: 1. I understand that there are certain conditions in picking up brahmnals for 12th day and mostly preferred either son-in-laws or closed relatives.. ***Nothing special in this conditions: According to the Sthanams of the Swamy's they should do some counts of " Gayathri " for praychchitham. Before completing those counts he should sit as swamy in some others house (Sapindi). So, if we pick the swamis from our relation circle, it will be easy to check. Normally professionals only will do that mistake. Another point of view also there : Some rich people will do Swarna pavithram, Velli sombu, Velli tumler for Swamis, in that case they will think, why these valuable things should go for some outsiders, we can make it useful for our close relatives. (They don't know by doing this, they are keeping the Phapam also with their close relation.) 2. Also there is a single person extra (who cook the food by himself) for the 12th day. I am not sure if this is there in vaishnavaite but there in smarthas). I hope you are mentioning about 11th day. Often we will use a joke about taste of food; 'Avan samaichathai avanthan Saappidanum' -- Ekothista thaligai is the best example for it. All food variety are only half boiled. (I don't know why they are doing like that. Because no where it is mentioned in sastram to do like that.) 3. May be silly question.. why is that till 12th day, everthing is done outside the house.. and only subasweekaram is done insdie.. Actually this your question is not silly, but the person who are thinking and doing their parents kainkaryam outside the house are really " SILLY " persons. Again later ask me to write about this, I have to give a huge explanation regarding this subject. Now I am having to check the tomorrows arrangements for Amavasai and a Sudharsana Homam. For your information after Parikkal Homam I am going to conduct the 5th Sudharshana Homam tomorrow. All the previous four homams were done at individuals houses. But tomorrows homam is to be done at " Thiruvidavendhai " - Nithya Kalyana Perumal Koil for an individuals " Sathapishegam " .
