Today is Marghazhi Kettai , the Thirunakshathram of

Thondaradippodi AzhwAr .

 

adiyEn is pleased to share with you a great SoubhAgyam

that has happened to me two days ago , when adiyEn's

AchAryan appointed me to serve as a Member of

The Board of Trustees of the sacred Sri Nrusimha PriyA Trust .

 

Although adiyEn is not qualified , it seems to be Srimath

Azhagiya Singar's ThiruvuLLam that adiyEn join the Board

and serve Him and MalOlan .

 

The sacred Journal of Sri Nrusimha PriyA was created by

SrI InjimEttu Azhagiya Singar , when HH ascended the throne

of Ahobila Matam back in October 24, 1941. Sri InjimEttu Azhagiya Singar

ascended to Parama Padham on January 3 , 1953 . From its inauguration ,

Sri Nrusimha PriyA has grown by leaps and bounds and is the archive of

the writings of great Sri VaishNavite AchAryAs including Azhagiya Singars

and reputed Sri VaishNavite Scholars .

 

The Tamil Version has 64 Volumes with 12 issues per month starting

from 1941 . It has 777 issues todate with an average of 80 pages per

issue .

 

With the support of many Sri Matam SishyAs and the blessings of Srimath

Azhagiya Singar , we have digitized almost all issues of Sri Nrusimha Priya

going back to 1945 . Scanning of individual pages in a browsable mode

has been completed . Four CD ROMs will be released on Thai UtthirattAdhi day

from the sacred hands of Srimath Azhagiya Singar . The intent behind this

kaimkaryam

is to preserve and protect these treasures of Sri Nrusimha PriyA for future

generations of AasthikAs , Scholars and UpanyAsakAs .

 

HH INjimEttu Azhagiya Singar gave the Svasthi Vachanam at the time of

founding of Sri Nrusimha PriyA as part of His Kathavya PraTij~nA :

(Meaning) : May the Journal of Sri Nrusimha PriyA arising out of

the KaruNA KaDAksham and Sankalpam of Sri Nrusimhan thrive

and prosper as long as there are the Moon and Stars in this world .

May this Sri Nrusimha PriyA stay permenently with Nrusimha Priyai

(MahA Laskshmi) in the houses of the Bhaktha KOtis of Sri Nrusimhan .

 

The English version of Sri Nrusimha Priya was started four yeas ago by

the Prakrutham Azhagiya Singar , Sri Narayana YathIndhra MahA Desikan .

It is equally well recieved by the English speaking bhaktha kOtis , who may

not be very familiar with esoteric terms (VaishNava ParibhAshai ) of

the Sri VaishNavite sampradhAyam .

 

The English version has 55 Issues sofar since its creation in May 2001 .

 

Both these versions -Tamil and English - need to reach more homes

of AasthikAs to enjoy the MahOpakArams of our AchAryAs in

spreading our Ubhaya VedAntha SampradhAyam starting with

our First AchArya , Sriman NaarAyaNan .

 

The annual overseas subscription for each of these Versions is just 50$.

Life time overseas subscription is $500 . The Subscriptions in India are

250 and 200 Rs per year for the English and Tamil Versions .
