Some others do not do that. Also some does only for parential side tharpanam and not maternal side tharpanam. During mahalaya tharpanam some do four set of bhgnams 1) father side, 2 mother side and in betweeen Karunya parential side then karunya mother side. Also during shradhdham some do yan may pithur matha pralu lobha charathi. This means that we suspect the character of our fore fathers and say that this pindam to go only to rAythaH pitha that means we may have other types of parents also ( illegal). Pl clarify as what to do?
