Guest guest
Respected Moderator Namaskarams Thank you very much for your reply. I did the kainkaryam for my brother except the first two days (which my father did) because the vaideekas in Mumbai took time to decide who was to perform ! There was difference of opinion and ultimately they said I had to perform the kainkaryams. We do not stay in a joint family. I have only one sister who is also abroad. Can you please explain further the ' Vayasa Pindam' and the other one you had mentioned ? Thanks Dasan K. Vasudevan *** Dear Mr.Vasudevan, well, You did the Kainkaryam OK. How did you do it? Directly or got " Pill " (dharba) from anybody, it means on behalf of anybody. If it was direct as " Gothrasya Sharmana: mama pithruvyasya prethasya ... etc. " or " Gothrasya Sharmana: Ejamaanasya / Ejamaanaya: .... etc. " If it is the second one, no worry, you need not do any thing further. If it is the first one, you should do continue that chradham till your life time. Vayasam means Crow (kaka) The pindam given for it will be put with the following manthras: " ... ye agni dhagthaa: ye anangni dhagtha: yevaa jaatha: kule mama bhoomow thathena pindena. Agni dhagtheybya: Anangni dhagtheybya: asmath kula prasoodhi mrudhebya: ayam pinda: swatha nama: ... " it means : who were all expired in our family since the last three generations, (exact karma like agni samskaram might have been done for sombody, or not for some, some might have gone in karbham itself) what ever it may be samskaaram for them, I am giving this pindam for them. Vikiram : In front of Viswedevar: " Asomapaascha ye devaa:... " sorry I don't have time to continue it. Ask again later. nvs
