Guest guest
Dear Sri Vaasu Vaadhyaar, respected members A while back I had asked a couple of questions, one about why Yajur Veda manthrams have extra letters introduced like 'gg' e.g. " puruSha evedaGum sarvam " unlike in Rig Veda manthrams. The other question was about what our Smaartha and Shaiva friends do for Shivaraatri (as I understood it this list was for all Vaideekas, not just Sri Vaishnava sampradaayam so I hope they would feel comfortable sharing their practices and customs with us). If anyone might know any answers to the above I would be very interested to hear them. thanks and praNAmams, Ranjan *** Mr.Ranjan, Almost you are asking questions which are not worth to improve our knowledge. Always mentioning saiva, vaishnava etc. This group is not sampradaya oriented. But as I am a vaishnavan, I can suggest well about the doubts in vaishnava sampradayam. I will just forward the question to the group to let any member to reply, when I have no solid / authendicated reply. Sama vedham is mostly having " Haavu Haavu ... " like ragams etc. Yajur vedham has its own swarams. Like that rig vedham is having its own swarams that is all. Due to these reasons vedham has been separated in to four types. How one can give the exact reason for the method of composition of Vedham, when they are not written by a man? We can assume, that is all. Why you need that? What is the use? Let us know the purpose of your question?! I do not want to compare any sampradayam with one another. And also there is no meaning of searching for single words or single action. Most of them will be meaningful only when they are in combined state. Do not try to make difference of opinion among members.
