Litting Lamp

Dear Shri NVS,

 

Looks like an ordinary question but certainly needs your input :

 

While we lit the oil lamp at home, the thread ( thiri ) should be in

odd number or it should be in even number.

 

Please enlighten,

*** Normally a " Kuthu Vilakku " will have five faces.

Sombody will light all the five faces, and some will light only 2 out of that

five faces. Both are in custom from long since.

So, I hope there is no question of odd, even number of thread while lighting a

lamp.
