Guest guest
There is not much difference between a snaanam on an ordinary day and on Aadi Amaavaasya except that on Amavaasya you do a Tharppanam. On any day whether an ordinary day or Amavaasya, it is mandatory that before having a holy dip at Sethu, one should have a madi snaanam either at Sakkara theerththam at Thiruppullani or in the bathrooms available at Sri Ahobila Mutt or Vanamaamalai Mutt. You can have some more details at http://thiruthiru.ahobilam.com/sethu.htm I will personnally request to visit on Thai Amavaasai as on Adi Amaavaasai more than a lakh non-brahmins mostly from rural villages use to come over here which will make it very difficult for the orthodox brahmins to carry out the rituals satisfactorily. On both Aadi and Thai Amavaasai days Pammal Gopu(krishnan <Gopu@krishnan>) provides thatheeyaaradhanam. > . > *** Dear Raguveeradayal Swamin, Well answered.
