Srimathe Ramanujaya Namah:

 

Adiyen Sampath is a new member in this newsgroup and would like to thank the

moderator in allowing me to be a mmember of the group.

 

I am nearly 70 years old, out of which ,the last 38 years of my life outside

India. I grew up in Thirukudanthai ( aka Kumbakonam) and almost spent my

entire young age in Aara Amudhan temple ( my father was the Managing trustee

for five years). My Acharyan is HH the Azhgiya Singar and had my Baranyasam

three years ago.

 

For the last 20 years, I have been living in suburbs of Los Angeles, CA,

where we have a beautiful Malibu Balaji temple , We have a Divya Prabandham

group

and have the good fortune to learn all the important Paurangal( our teacher

is a lady who is very well-versed in Tami and Sanskrit).

 

We attend the temple one Saturday each month and recite Pasurangals in front

our Lord ( sort of Ghoshti ).

 

We also make it a point to celebrate theAzhvaar and Acharyan

Thirunakshtrams .

I have yet to browse through Vaideekam newsgroup postings.

 

If any of you or your relatives visit LA and would like to participate in

the days on which Vaideeka functions took place in your house. About your family

Vadhyar, his activities, his mannarism, his jokes, his strictness or approach

etc. which will be interesting for us to here such stories.
