Guest guest
I take the liberty to answer the question. There may be knoledgeble people out here in this group. Kindly correct me if i am wrong. The stars as such are not in aspecious as such. In the parashara hora shastra there is a mention about inaspecious birth and details the yoga and birth times that are considered inaspecious in terms of obtaining materialistic possessions or for the life expactancy. It has to be kept in mind that all the inaspeciousness is about the difficulties one would face during his life time. Remidies have been suggested by sage parashara himself for these kind of yogas and timing of birth. But i don't recall mention about nakshatras beeing inaspecious. God himself has taken birth in the nakshatras that are considered to be not so good, for example Rohini (Krishna Avatara), just to prove the point. To answere in terms of astrology, It is the planetory positions, and the matching of the horoscopes that would decide rather than the nakshatra alone. It is more due to mis information and social stigma that people consider this way. My personal experience - while dealing with horoscopes of people (Being astrologer by hobby), I come across this openion of people that, Astrology is considered as a extrapolation of past incidents and people start extrapolating the experience they have to all other future events. In my humble openion astrology does not work that way. Though we are ignorant of the the logic or the path through which sage parashara and other eminent scholors correlated the events, there is a nice and logical scientific approach in interpreting the results. To answere your question, It is superstitous to believe that one nakshatra is bad and other is good. You can find vedic verses like " Chitra Nakshatram Bhavati " in Ashwamedha portion of Yahur Brahmana. But still if something is bad it can not exist for long as God does not desire to create bad. He creates everything for our good as he is the Rakshaka. AdiYen Ramanuja Dasan, Venkata Krishnan srivijanaki <srivijanaki vaideekam Monday, July 17, 2006 6:29:53 AM [Vaideekam] Inauspicious nakshatrams Respected Swamin Many persons reject the horoscopes for alliance straight away on the face of it, if the boy or girl is born on star Ayilyam, Moolam, Jeyshta and Pooradam. I do face that harship having daughter for marriage. While some say that star per se is not bad but a whole lot of other planetary position in both horoscopes should be seen, we come across many rejecting on the basis of stars. Rightly or wrongly the Kudumba Jothidam also says that if girls are born in Ayilam, Moolam, Jeyshta stars have the tag of in auspiciousnes attached to it. Is is correct?
