Guest guest
Dasasya vignaapanam. Often I have heard from many learned elders that for any and every doubt on our Ramanuja dharsanam, we can refer to Swami Desika to get an immediate and undisputable answer. I recently had an experience to realise that their assertions are totally correct. As per Thiruppullani Sthala Puranam, King Dasaratha worshipped Sri Adhi Jagannathap perumal, got his blessings and the gigantic and eyecapturing Santhanagopala Perumal was installed by him before he performed the Puthira Kameshti yagam. Eventhough we, residents of this Kshethram, have a firm belief that this story can not either be false or an exaggeration, we did not have a proper reply when people used to pose a question like this: " when Ramavatharam is before Krishnavatharam, how King Dasaratha would have installed a Santhana Gopalan? " When the same question was asked by a Pontiff who recently visited here we had no answers that can convince him. This was till June this year. When we received the June 2006 issue of " Sri Ranganatha Paduka " we were delighted to know that Swami Desika had already answer for this doubt in His " SANKALPA SOORYOTHAYAM'. I reproduce the relevent text.
