Guest guest
Srimate Ramanujaya Namah: Azwar Thiruvadigale Sharanam Respected Swamins, Adiyen's working hours are such that Adiyen is not able to reach home before 10-11 PM. This means that I have to miss out on the Sayam Sandhyavandanam. Since I leave home at 8 in the morning, doing Sayam Sandhyavandanam is not possible so early. Can anyone suggest a Pariharam for this. Dasan, Kannan *** Mr.Kannan, I feel very pleasure to read your message. You can do the sayam sandhya vandhanam in your office itself. I think that you will get permission to go out for 10 minutes. I hope all office will have a open terrace, you need not wear any dhothi etc. You can use the terrace do the sandhya vandhnam with a tumbler of water (which you are using to drink water, or you can keep a tumbler for it in the terrace itself). If you do not feel ashame you can just remove your shirt fully or even open only in the front side, or leave it as it is. If you don't have thiruman srichurnam in your forehead, just wear them using the water. If you feel it is not a possible suggestion do as below: No need to tell anybody what you are doing. You can tell everybody that I am doing some meditation practice everyday for ten minutes in a particular time 6 to 6.10 pm. And just sit in your seat itself. Put off your mobile and table phones for that five minutes. Close your iyes. Send your virtual body to your house. Let it do the Sayam sandhya vandhanam there with the help of your dhyanam (meditation). Bring your virtual body to your office after the completion of sandhya vandhnam and open your iyes. Continue your duty. It is not found in the sastrams, but it will be worthful what I hope. We can apply the procedure given for some other things : When one is not able to the real snanam the Sastram insists to perform a maanasa snanam which is better than a real snanam. Likewise maanasa aaradhanam is said as better than physical thiruvaaradhanam. But your mind should accept it. Something is better than nothing. Also I pray got to add all dhoshams (Paapams) to my account if any for suggesting this. regards, nvs

This is awonderfulremedy for those haunted by a sense of guilt for omitting to do the nitya karma as ordained. Grateful indeed to you.No papam will accrue as you have tried to do away with the papam of not performing the sandhya.Yet another advantage is by chanting the mantra eyes closed, you would trangress the body & also the mind & for a fraction of a moment you are with HIM meditating & no doubt in absolute peace & harmoney after the prayers. GREAT. once again I thank you. Adiyen Rajagopala Dasan venkat chari to me srI: sri NVS swamin, dasoham. asmad acharyan sri Paundarikapuram Asramam sri Paravakootai Andavan always prescribes ansuhtanam to the sishyas. No other Acharya is strict like Him. He told adiyen to do madhyanikam along with prathasandyavandanam. (*** I hope the Madhyahniham can be done with the Prathah Sandhya at the time prescribed for Prathah Sandhya, also granting permission to do a thing for a particular person may not be same for all at all times?! In my view : The mind or intention to do a spiritual thing and the punctuality will be get precedence than any other I hope. -nvs) In the same way, sayam sandyavandanam in manasikam then followed by regular sandyavandanam with water once coming home. At any cost, a sandyavandanam cannot be missed. Another Acharya, also suggested perfoming missed sandyavandanam after the regular sandyavandanam. A bhagavatha suggested performing sayam sandyavandanam on the next day morning after morning sandyavandanam. Does that person who could not perform Sayam sandyavandanam, skips night food because he could not perform sandyavandanam? dasan.
Guest guest
Dear Mama, Your advice on 'sayam sandhyavandanam' is great and practical and I wish those who are placed in similar situations can take that advice and implement it. In the HC, I had witnessed the Muslim Judges rising from the court before time for lunch sufficiently on fridays to go the mosque for prayers. I am really moved by your statement that having given such advice, you take on yourself the responsibility for the doshams if any arising from implementation of that advice. Guest guest
The way in which swamin has concluded about doing Sayam Sandyavandanam, I am very much pleased. I am reminded of one incident wherein HH 44th Pattam Sri Vednata Desika Yatindra Maha Desikan was in RK Puram, New Delhi in Vaikundanathar Temple, which was being constructed at that time and was giving Margazi Masa discourse. Adiyen, raised one small question and asked Him whether it is correct to go to temple without taking bath, for that He gave a small story. He not only appreciated the question and told the audiance that this sort of thing happens in everyone's life, and the question is apt.Presume that you are sleeping on a cot in a village and there is a purapadu in that village and Urchavar comes to your house say in the morning 2, 3 AM. What you will immediately do is that you will fold the cot, go inside the house and wake up others, bring the material for the Arathi. remember that you have not taken bath at that time, even then The Almighty expects your sincere efforts (Manaseekam)I would also request the memberrs to go thru the meaning of Tirupavai by the 44th Mahadesikan for each slokam, the importance of reciting the same daily in our day to day life.Adiyenuku therinthathe sonnen, mannikavumnochalur seshadri sampath.
