Guest guest
Many days we are fasting in the night. Does this mean we can skip sndhya vandanam. No No It is different . You should not quote the missing food in the night as reason or question? Yours Dasan R.srinivasan *** What you mean?! nvs
Guest guest
Manasika Aradhanam to Bhagavan is greater and to be done before doing physical Aradhanam. Manasika Snanam is more purifying than physical snanam and hence to be done after physical snanam. Now, NVS swamy is talking about manasika sandhyavandanam, and it should be greater than physical sandhyavandanam. But like in all other cases, the precondition should be to do physical sandhyavandanam, in this case, after manasika sandhyavandanam. (Anything to be done Manasikam is more difficult and 100 per cent involvement is called for, which manasika advocates should not forget!) Simplified and put by elders to me on Sandhyavandanam is: To do Pratas sandhyavandanam and Madhyanhikam before afternoon food. To do Sayam sandhyavandanam before night food. (not specifying how late you eat either in the afternoon or night.) Combining two sandhyavandams at a time is allowed but not combining three sandhyavandanams. And for us, it may be difficult to combine sayam sandhyavandanam and next day pratas sandhyanvandanam because of our other commitments during day time. (Hence, I believe it would be in order to do sayam sandhyavandanam even at 10 pm.) *** I could not accept this. Any option suggested is for badly unavoidable situation should not be taken as granted for normal situations. Becaue a carelessness will be developed on that matter which is very very bad than not doing that. With reference to my nature : " I feel guilty to do it even one minute late " . For this reason I will fix all vaideeka functions with a break between 5.45 pm and 6.15 pm. Doing Sandhyavandhanam regularly with late fee (Prayachithaargyam) will help you to maintain your " Brahmanathvam " , it will not accounted as 'karma done properly'. Because the sastram says, one who fails to do sandhi continuously for seven days will lost his 'Brahmanathvam'. So, try to under stand its importance, try to do it in time. Stop discussions about Sandhyavandhanam here after. nvs / Moderator
