Dear Vasuvadhyar, Namaskaram. Adiyen has yet another question -

Swamin's patience is most appreciated in answering adiyen's endless

questions.

Adiyen is fortunate enough to have a living mAthA. Therefore in the

tharpanam one more generation is to be included in the pithru

vargham - instead of mAthru, pithu:prapithamahI is included?

So, adiyen should

(1) leave out " ... vasupathnI-rUpiNI: asman-mAthru: ... "

(2) do " .... rudhra-pathnI-rUpiNI: asmath pithamahI: .... "

(3) do " .... Adhitya-pathnI-rUpiNI: asmath prapithamahI: ... "

(4) add " ... pithu: prapithamahI: .... " , but what Rupam?

how should this part be said?

Also, In the " jnAtha-ajnAtha " part, is it to correct to say " ....

pithru pathnI: swaDhA namas tharpayAmi " , because pithrupathnI means

mAthA?

Is any other change needed?

Many respects and thanks,

Adiyen

*** The first person who is in the first order of pithru takes the " Vasu

Roopam " , next 'Rudhra roopam', next 'Adhithya' roopam.

If a person who is the mother or father of the Vasu Roopam is still alive, then

you should call the next generation person as Rudhra Roopam.

The person who is having mother alive should start

(1) " ... vasupathnI-rUpiNI: asmath pithamahI: ... "

(2) " .... rudhra-pathnI-rUpiNI: asmath Pithu: pithamahI: .... "

(3) " .... Adhitya-pathnI-rUpiNI: asmath Pithu: prapithamahI: ... "

The person who is not having mother should start

(1) " ... vasupathnI-rUpiNI: asman-mAthru: ... "

(2) " .... rudhra-pathnI-rUpiNI: asmath pithamahI: .... "

(3) " .... Adhitya-pathnI-rUpiNI: asmath prapithamahI: ... "

Understand that the 'Vasu Pathni' is not necessary to be the wife of the 'Vasu

Roopa' person. Here the 'Pathni' sabdam is stands only to identify the gender.
