Guest guest
Respected Swamin Our sampathi swami completed 70th thirunakshathram to day. At the beginning of the 70th birth day, bheemaratha saanthi was celeberated. But to day the no cleberation was conducted thinking that the bheemaratha saanthi conducted at the beginning of 70 is sufficient. But I understand that regular homa etc. are done on the completion of the 70th thirunakshatram also. If so can it be perfomed in the following nakshatram as to day it was missed? respectfully, GJ *** Vaideeka karmas are of two types: 1. Nithyam & naimithikam 2. Kaamyam The first type of karmas are to done by every brahmin compulsorily. Some amount of papam will be stored if not done. Some karmas which are called kaamyam can be done according to our willingness by expecting a particular palan from that karma. Aayushya Homam, Shastiyaptha poorthi, Bhimaratha Shaanthi, Sapthathi, Sathapishegam, Sudharsana Homam, Navagraha homam, Ganapathi Homam, Mruthyunjaya Homam, Dhanvanthari Homam, Lakshmi Kubera Homam, Purusha suktha Homam, Srisuktha homam, Lakshmi homam, Swayamvara paarvathi homam, Shandi homam, Thila Homam etc. are this type. There is no specific standard procedure for these homams, they can be modified or altered according to time, place, situation, budget etc. So, it is not possible to suggest or comment on any vaideeka karma done by a traditional Bruhaspathy. nvs
