A respectable religious person is compelled by unavoidable circumstances is

to cross the SEAs and travel by plane to a Foreign country from INDIA. It is

said in some cicles that he is disqualified to do any religious

duties including Perumal Kainkaryam If it is true what are PARIKARAMS/

PRASCITARTAMS prescribed in Vedas and what are stotrams to be chanted

as a remedial Mesure. CHELLAPPA

Dear Swamin,

I agree with you that it differs from individual to individual. Of course there

are plenty of Orthodox persons who are working in Foreign Countries. They have

the approval of their Acharyans. Many strictly follow even in Foreign Countries.

To quote a few, HH Azagiasingar has given a Krishna Vigraham to one of the

Sisyas few years back in USA and Doley of Krishna is being held in differrent

parts of USA. I was wondered to see that the organisers are so meticulous they

are very well versed in doing the kainkaryam to the Lord and follow strict

procedures laid down in the vedas. They wear 12 thiruman and come in

panchakacham, and expect the baktas who are srivaishnavites atleast to adhere

to the norms at that functions if not in 12 thiruman atleast in thiruman and

panchakacham.They do the thirumanjanam as is being in held in all viashnavites

temples and follow the panthathi of their Acharyan.

I was able to hear few names when they got themselves introduced to the

Upanyasams recently of the HH Azagiasingar on Saturdays and there are many

scholars who are doing yomen service even in Foreign countries. To quote a few

Sriman Rajagopalan, Ohio, Sriman Kidambi of Prapatti.com and many others who run

many sites. The list is endless.

Ultimately where therre is will there is a way. The other side of the coin is

there which I will reserve for the next time.

doing well in foreign places to continue it without guilty if they can?!

Even in India we are overlooking many sastra vishayams, so we can take it as
