Guest guest
Respected Sir, Some people believe that horoscopes are to be written only when a child is at least one year old. Some get it done as soon as the baby is born. Can you please throw some light on this. Thank you. Jayashree. *** As per Vaideeka Sastram the " Jaadha Karma " to be done immediately on the day of birth of a baby. The sastram says : The Father of the child is not getting theetu till he complete the Jaadha Karma of the new born baby, the " Dhaanams " made by him for that karma can be accepted by Vaideekals. That is different. Now the important thing what we have to listen here is: The father has to tell the " Nakshathra Naama " (Name of the Star) in the right side ear of that baby, which is a part of ritual. This can be possible only the father of the baby recorded the birth time and Star details immediately after the birth. From this we can conclude that no sastram is restricting to caste the Horoscope of a baby for any such period. But, for any Vaideeka Karma horoscope details other than the star and rasi is not required till the end of the life and after it. Horoscope matching for wedding is not instructed or specified either directly or indirectly in any sastram related to Vaideekam.
