Guest guest
Dear Vasu Vadhyar, Namaskarams! Am writing the first time, have been receing the mails and reading them whenever possible. I am blessed that i have been able to join this group. Request you to kindly throw some light on " As a Vaishava what are our day today duties, duties that fall in a month once or more than once, duties that fall on particular occassion, duties that fall in a year once or more than once " . I have some clue on day today duties like " Sandhya Vandanam " etc but don't have complete information on the duties that is a MUST to be performed on daily, monthly, yearly basis. If you have audios recorded for each activity, request you to kindly share, if possible. Adiyen, R. Aravamudan *** Well, it is pleasure to know about your interest in vaideekam vishayams. You have asked several questions but all related to one thing. All the things you want to know are coming under the heading " Ahniham " which is also means dos and donts for mankind. The " Ahninham " is slightly differs between sampradayams. Every Matam or Ashram has published books on this topic in various manner like simple, detailed, standared etc. So, writting about all the things will become like a " Mega Serial " , for which I don't have time also. But I am having it in mind, it should be done one day or other. For now you purchase a book published by your acharya matam. Go through it. If you get any doubt on a specific subject, you can ask me for clarifications. regards, nvs
Guest guest
Dear sir I have done only three oonams and Maasika , Sothakumba were not done. What I have to do in this condition to perform forthcoming Oona apthikam. Aapthikam. to be performed on coming chaturthi thithi ( Nov first week ). What will be the approximate for the prayaschitham for not conducting mAsikam and sotha kumbams With advance thanks Dasan R.Srinivasan *** If the masiyams of previous months have been left for any reasonable cause can be combined to perform on any masikam but on or before the 12th masikam. If one had left the chance of doing it on the 12th masyam can do those masyams on the Varusha Aapthikam day as " Aama chradham " , no other go. The Varusha apthikam should be performed on the same thithi of the same month which can not be altered. Also go through the message I received through my personal mail ID: I wish to know about the term " Karappu Kodam " described in the below message. (Katradhu Kai mannalavu kalladhadhu ulagalavu). regards, nvs srI: dear bhagavatha: I do not know what you mean by " Karappu Kodam " . On the 13th day Karappu Kodam was not done due to the adyanotsavam. Now the 1st annual ceremony of my aunt is approaching. We are planning on prabhandam chanting before the adyanotsavam. The vadyar is also saying that we can also perform Karappu Kodam now. But we have all heard that this is done only on the 13th day. We are totally confused. Can you please enlighten us about this. Thanking you Regards Shuba Dasa
