Guest guest
Respected Vasu Vathiyar, Thanks for the useful information given to know how a pregnany woman should be to have a hassle free delivery. My Husband Aravamudan joins me in giving pranams to you . I have another question to ask you ... Am a staunch devotee of Lord Narasimha . Ofcourse , Lord Maha Vishnu and Goddess Mahalakshmi are my favourite. I keep telling Narayana when i bend down or do any kind of work , most of the time at home , when am at work etc ... These days , i keep telling Narasimha also equal number of times . Is it good to chant only Narayana or can i chant both as i do now ? i personally feel that Narasimha is Narayana ONLY .... but few people say Narasimhar is " Ugram " and hence i wanted to ask. Kindly clarify. Warm Regards, Lakshmi Aravamudan. *** Good. Many people will hesitate to ask question like this by thinking these are silly. I appriciate for asking this question. When we are having doubt on a matter, why we have to think it as silly?! Well, now we come to the point. My habit is telling all the below four names at every moment (and whenever I do namaskaram to anybody). 1. Narayana 2. Vasudeva 3. Govindha 4. Lakshmi Narasimha. Narasimhan is 'Ugram' only at Hiranyakasipu or person who are like Hiranyakasipu. Narasimhan is very Kind at 'Prahalladhan', and HE will be always kind only with his BHAKTHAS. Do not worry. I am having a 'Narasimha Vigraha Moorthy' and doing Thirumanjanam daily at my house. I never felt anger from HIM. Still if you feel fear then you add Lakshmi beofore Narasimha and tell as 'LAKSHMI NARASIMHA'. Thayaar will protect you from HIS Ugram. nvs
Guest guest
Namaskarams, I would like to share another piece of information related to this. I think the Achamanam that forms the inevitable and a very significant part of Sandhyavandham too substantiates the fact and greatness of God's names. (Achuta, Ananta and Govinda). Guest guest
Namaskarams to all SriVaishnavas..... In the below context, let me add just a point which I felt many times when some people described Lord Narasimhan as " Ugram " . Usually when anything " terrifying " is seen/observed/felt, the first to shiver out of fear is small kids, whereas the parent, out of knowledge and experience pacify the child to calmness. During Narasimha Avatharam, it was the small child Prahlaadan who was calm whereas the mighty built Asura raja, Hiranyakashyapu feared. Here the difference of sight and perception between Sowmya Murthy (as felt by Prahlaadan) and " Ugram " (as felt by Hiranyan)is only one thing, Bhakti, the presence of it in exteremity in Prahlaadan and the absence of the same in Hiranyan. If we have unstinted bhakti for the lotus feet of " Narasimhan " , our eyes will only see the Sowmya murthy. Ofcourse it is a different point to ponder, in this kaliyugam, how many people have even 1% of unalloyed bhakthi as Prahlaadan had?? No wonder, many people out of ignorance like Hiranyan say/feel " Narasimhan " as ugram. Never mind and prayers to Lord Narasimhan for peace to all his bhaktas. Jai Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaa... Guest guest
Namaskarams, I agree to the view. The cruelty and/or the portrayed anger was because of the heinous crime and atrocity that Hiranyakashipu meted out to His child Bhaktha (Prahaladazhwar). Hence as a reflection, he feared. His core devotees were'nt afraid of Him. Only a guilty mind always keeps pricking. As long as the mindset is clear and straight forward, I don't think there is something fishy smelling around the way. This is distinctly reflecting in the Narasimhavatar too. A friend of mine was asking me the procedures to follow for Sri Sundara Kandam Parayanam? Can you please give me some pointers towards these? Deepak Vasudevan *** Almost All Sundhara Kaandam books are having full procedure to perform paarayanam for several paarayana methods with relavant 'Dhyaana Slogams' etc. So, if you friend is going to purchase a book hereafter, you tell him check it in the starting pages of that book. nvs Warning : Do not send Html messages, I am getting much trouble to edit it.
