Guest guest
During the Upakarma we all say " Akarana Prayaschttartham Kaamakarshit ......Jaupam Karishye " . I believe this akarana includes the Deva Rishi Pitru Tarpana also. The pitru here is " Soma yama angiraswan, Agni Havyavaahaanaadi pitrus. These are common for both father less and those with liviving father. Thus everyboy has to do this tarpana is in't it?. My apologies if this is offensive. AdiYen Ramanuja Daasan, Venkata Krishnan *** " Thaishyam powrnamaasyam adhyaya uthsarjana akarana prayschiththartham Kamokaarsheeth Manyurakaarsheeth manthra japam karishye. " this indicates or represents only which the Uthsarjana Karma should be done on the month of " Thai " . Akarana prayaschitham is only for not doing that 'Uthsarjana Karma'. But there is a fact and logic in your statement. The deva rushi pithru tharpanams are nithya karma for all brahmacharis and grahasthas. Moreover nothing will happen when we are doing the pithru tharpanam while our father is being alive. Because the 'Pithru' sabtham is only represents the person who are not alive. To avoid the bad sense our anscestors are not keeping it in practice. Note:- most of the persons are not doing the pithru tharpanam in the upakarma day itself. " We should do only 'Melaiyaar seivanagal' " . nvs
