But I had teertham on that day while doing achamaneeyam. Is taking teertham also restricted on ekadasi? Please clarify me. On ekadasi day I did japam of Narayana manthram for 2000 times and listened to Maha Baaratham. And on Dwadasi day what should we eat first for closing the fasting. After Pindapradhanam a little bit of the Prasadam is instructed to take by the kartha in the prayogam itself. Also there are minimum six achamanams are described while chradham. Those are Karmanugunam so not taken as drinking water.
