Guest guest
Dear swAmin, Thank you for the manthrams - yes I will just use them to check for now. In the meanwhile I contacted a Gujarati Brahmana priest who told me that the graha shaanti ritual in their weddings involves the following steps: 1. Ganapati puuja 2. Kalasha puuja 3. Swasti punyaahavachanam 4. " Prajaapati pooja " of " Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh " 5. Navagraha pooja 5. " Yagnya " The sankalpam given for the " yagnyam " was as follows: " atradya maha mangalya falprad (phalaprada?) masotam mase .............mase ..............pakshe...........tithou............vasere........nakshatre ............yagna pujan karishye. " He said the Yagnya was for Agni, did not mention any other deities. Is there any such homam that can be performed? I have two questions: I am familiar with Ganapati, Kalasha poojas, but: 1) I guess Navagraha pooja is just offerring shodapacharams to navagraha devatas? ***Yes 2) Has anyone heard of Prajaapati pooja for " Trimurti " ? I have never heard of this in South Indian traditions. The priest said this is just offerring shodashopacharams to Trimurti. ***Do Aavahanam with their respective aavahana manthras and do 16 upacharams - nvs thanks and praNAmams, namO nArAyaNAya Ranjan
Guest guest
Dear Sri VAsu Maama, Thanks very much for the advice. Lastly, I don't suppose you can identify what type of homam the sankalpam given is for? > The sankalpam given for the " yagnyam " was as follows: > > " atradya maha mangalya falprad (phalaprada?) masotam mase > ............mase > .............pakshe...........tithou............vasere........nakshatre > ...........yagna pujan karishye. " praNAmams, Ranjan *** I am not able to guess it. nvs
