Guest guest
Dear Vaasu Vadhyar, I am blessed with a baby girl yesterday (8th Feb, 2007 3:15 PM) . I request you to kindly guide me as per the Shastram & Sampradayam what is my duty towards the child in the initial days and also that of my parents, my younger brother, my wife, father in law, mother in law and brother in law. Thanks in advance. Thanks & Regards, R. Aravamudan [Arvind] + 9 1 9 8 1 0 4 9 8 7 8 2 R.Aravamudan Dear Mr.Arvind, Congratulations and blessings. You and your family including father, mother have theetu for ten days including the day of birth. If possible the 'Prasava Punyaham' can be performed on 11th day. There will be no theetu from the 11th Morning (Sarvaanga) Skshavaram and snanam. But the punyaham is required for gruha sudhdhi and vasthu (things) sudhdhi, and the delivered lady sareera sudhdhi. If not possible to perform the Punyaham on 11th day you can do it on any odd day there after. No special auspicial conditions are required for it like Yokam, Thaara Palan etc. After fixing the day, your family Bruhaspathy will guide you rest of the things. Do as much dhanams (to vaideeka brahnanas) with beejam (virai nell, paddy) as much you can. This is my special advice. nvs
Guest guest
Regarding theetu etc ., if we believe in it let us observe the rules without question.Any attempt to rationalize it on basis of logic and science will only trick us into miserable contradictions.DasanMadhavan Check out the all-new Mail beta - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster. Guest guest
Swamin, The article by Sriman Sadgopan is very apt for the present day and it cannot go bacik to olden days. It may go worst in the days to come as there are many new diseases. To some extent we have to follow acharam and anushtanams which our forefathers have taught and we should make our children to follow. It is a big question mark whether they will accept what we preach. adiyen, nochalur seshadri sampath. Bored stiff? Loosen up...Download and play hundreds of games for free on Games.
