I am not the right person to comment on this...however am adding my views

which can be clarified by the group.

What i understand is that if someone has opted the marg of " Saranagathi "

all his pavam and punyam are taken care of by the god. Hence one doesn't

have to worry about the actual count. Pls correct if i have understood it

wrongly.

Thanks & Regards,

R. Aravamudan [Arvind]

Your statement is partially correct. " Saranagathan " should not do any pavam

which he knows about it. And many more things are there to know and follow.

Saranagathi is a state where in complete realization would have happened. Sarva dharman....Maashuchaha provides the eligibility to do subsequent kainkarya which otherwise is not possible owing to karma. Hence doing papa/punya after saranagathi does not exist since that state is being surpassed to reach saranagathi state.

Dear Sri Aravamudhan :

In the next fewdays , I will be releasing in Ahobilavalli series

NyAsa thrayee , which are a group

of three books on SaraNAgathy Saasthram : NyAsa Dasakam ,

NyAsa Vimsathy and NyAsa Tilakam . These constitute the most

authoritative instructions from Swamy VedAntha Desikan

on the principles of SaraNAgathy , the way to perform SaraNAgathy

and the fruits of SaraNAgathy .

In addition to these three Sri Sookthis ,

Swamy Desikan has blessed us with Adaikkala Patthu

In Tamil and SaraNAgathy Dheepikai in Sanskrit .

These have already appeared as e-books in

Sundara Simham series ( http://www.sundarasimham.org )

All the authentic details answering your question and more are

there . The differences in Bhakthi and SaraNagathy Yogams for

Moksham and the way in which paapams get destroyed are dealt

in detail in these SthOthra granthams of Swamy Desikan .
