After grahapravesam to new house, subsequently the 'Chrardham' for the father of the house owner comes. I hope it can be performed at the new house. (BHEL Trichy-14) -- *** People are having some wrong sense in this matter, doing chradham in houses will fetch some bad effects. It is base less and purely wrong. Because, at the time of gruha pravesam itself we are doing the Nandhi Chradham and calling the pithrus of both parents. To differentiate it from deiva kaaryam the prayogam itself having a small sudhdhi as naandhi punyaham and just doing prokshanam in their hands alone. So, doing chradham in a new house will never affect a person in any way. But there is a lot of chances to get the whole hearted asirvadham of pithrus. " Prapitha Maha: " is one of the thousand names of Sri Maha Vishnu. More to that :- I welcome the bad or good effect with pleasure which (if) takes place by doing chradham to our parents. In what other way we can show our gratitudes to them?! Even 'Apara Kainkaryam' is not bad when doing in houses. Likewise, we performed the grahapravesam for our new house andimmediately next week, we performed the Annual Shradam for our father in the new house itself as it is good to invite our Pithrus to thenew house and seek their blessings. We all are living happily with his blessings. There is no harm in performing Shradam even if it fall on the day ofmarriage.. it should be given importance .... as kanyadanam can beperformed by any one....as shradam is to be performed by the Kartaalone that too on the thidhi only..
