SIGNIFICANCE OF THEERTHAM IN TEMPLES

>>> During ekadasi we take only once rather than three times

In that case no manthras to be recited okay?

enough?

The first time it is served, the priest will say Sarva vyadhi nivaranam

(let all your ailments be cured), second time he will say Sarva dukha

shamanam (let all your sorrows be annhilated) and the third time he

will

say aAkhla mruthyu haranam (may the untimely death escape you).

>>> Actually in this manthra one padam is missing.

***

I hope the given reason is not correct and no reference found / given.

"Aapa idhu vaavu bheshajee: ... sarvamaayurethi| Akaala mruthyu

haranam (most of them will say it as Akaala mrthyu karanam!) Sarva vyadhi

nivaaranam, samastha paadhothakam shubham|"

>>> This manthram is also not full . pl inform full manthra or reference

for the same.

I never thought about praying perumal for asking "Aayul vrudhdhi - long

life" because our sampradayam is educating us as :

"Koovikkollum kaalam kuruhaadho?!" should be the request at Emperuman

feet.

>>> This will tend to attempt aartha prapatthi or bhrgu pathanam or

some other type to get immediate salvation. Then population will come down

drastically. Is it advisable
