Guest guest
sri: Srimate ramanujaya namaha Dear Sri Vasu vadhyar swamin, dasoham. One of adiyen's friends asked adiyen a doubt which adiyen was unable to answer fully. Adiyen's friend (male) is single, never married. His both parents passed away. His doubt is that since he does not have children, his not performing sraddham, pitru tarpaNam should not affect the progeny of the next generation (as there is none). How can adiyen answer to his doubt? Adiyen said that Perumal will NOT like this. (As in Bhagavad geeta, Sri Krishna says that one should do one's duty without expecting the phalan, He takes care of the rest). Please help adiyen. dasan. *** This is due to wrong understanding of sastras. Most of us are thinking that if we do not perform the pithru kaaryam it will affect only our heirs. It is wrong. If a person undergone the " Sharanagathi " through a proper aacharyan, then he should not worry about anything what will happen, what will be our future etc. Because we should have a good confidence on it. " Sharanagathi " is common for all jeevas. (Brahmana, Kshathriya, Vaisya, Soothra, Thiryak, Sthavara etc.) After 'Sharanagathi' he should continue to do his duties according to sastras. So, it is important for a person to keep doing pithru kaaryams in the case of a 'Sharanagathan'. In the case of a Non 'Sharanagathan', rebirth is confirmed. To attain a good birth he should obey sastras. The sastram itself is saying, one should obey sastram without asking any questions. Do not tell anything about sastram for person who are not having faith on it. Let them do anything according to their will and wish. nvs
