a doubt on tarpanam

Dear Swamins

 

With reference to the Tarpanam procedure , i have following doubts

 

1) I have my paternal grand mother alive and both maternal grand father and

mother alive.............My father passed away.

while performing tarpanam there are tarpana mantras for matamahu and

pitamahi........ Kindly guide me process so that i can perform

tarpanam.properly.

If your maternal grand father is alive, no need to do the tharpanam for mother

side (Maathru Vargam). You may do with one set of bhugnams only for Your father,

His father, His grand father.

i.e " Pithru, Pithamaha, prapithamaha " ,

as your mother is alive, for ladies you should call as:

" Pithamahi, Pithu: pithamahi, Pithu: prapithamahi " tell corresponding names.
