Rituals: Yajur Upakarma and Grahana Tarpanam

Namaskarams. I have been a member for a few months but this is my

first posting.

 

As I understand, Yajur Upakarma is to be done on Aug 27 in North

America. Gayathri Japam is to be performed on Aug 28. Also, Chandra

Grahanam occurs during the early morning hours of Aug 28 (1:51 a.m.

to 5:24 a.m., Pacific time). Does the Chandra Grahanam affect in any

way the observance of Upakarma and Gayathri Japam, other than

performing Pithru Tarpanam during the Grahanam. Please confirm the

dates/time and let me know if anything else that is different

(because of the Grahanam).
