Dear Sri Chellappa :

It is charama slOkam and not Sharama slOkam .

Charama means last , ultimate or final. Charamam

means at last or at the end .Sri Vaasu VaadhyAr

has provided detailed information . It is a final

tributer to the dear departed .

Charamaavathi Daasan in this context means the last

or the final one in the hierarchy of DaasAs ( Tava Bhruthya

Bruthya ---) .
