Guest guest
srI: I learned that a pattu (silk) vastram is NOT madi ant any time. Only the dried cotton vastram after dipped in water is said to be a madi vastram. Also nowdays the garland of flowers is made with cotton thread, instead of fiber from a plantain tree. In foreign countries, only cotton thread is used in making of garlands of flowers since the fiber is not readily available. Most temples in abroad use such garlands made with cotton threads. Therefore madi or AchAram is not there. It seems that no temple is noticing this or an issue for the temples. dasan. thirunarayanan swamy iyengar <nanu_04011955 wrote: respected swamin >>> Many periavall will tell the above information very often. >>> As swamy explained about the vasthram. It is fine. *** Thank you swamin, I accept your points. But I really don't know about the making or manufacturing of garlands either in India or in foreign. Always I watch and wonder Shri.Venkatchari Swami is keeping all the discipline request from me (Moderator). And he is having a broad mind to accept even a hard opinion from me. nvs
