Guest guest
Dear Vasu Vadhyar swamin Adiyen Srinivasa Dasan Namaskarams 1. Most of the snadhyavandhanam books mention about doing Deva Rishi Kaanda rishim Pithru tharpanam and Brahma Yagnam,as a daily routine. But as I have observed Most of the people do not do this. Is it necessary that it is done daily? Another doubt on the same subject 2. Before Gayathri Japam every day performing Nyasam is mentioned. Hereagain most of the people do not do this. Is it necessary that these are done daily. Adiyen srinivasa Dasan *** 1. I remember a (practical) joke, (sorry for using a joke for example) Once (in 1970s) a cyclist was caught by a police man for not having a bell in his cycle. The police man asked the cyclist, " Why you are not having bell in your cycle? " The cyclist replied : " See sir, many people are not having a cycle at all, you are blaming me for not having a small part, bell " ? The police man laughed and left that cyclist without punishing. Let it be. You may think, in what way this joke is having connection with your question. Braham Yagnam, Rushi tharpanam, Pithru tharpanam, Vasthra nishpeedanam, Oupaasanam, sthaaleebhagam, vaisvadevam there are so many parts in the nithyaanushtanam of a brahmin. But Sandhya Vandhanam is the main part like a cycle for a cyclist. All other parts of nithya karmas are almost left by most of the anushtaathas. If one can do all the things listed in the nithya anushtana kramam it is great actually. 2. Nyasam is compulsory for Gayathri japam. nvs
Guest guest
Dear Sri Narayanan swamin, Some time back Sri NVS swAmin had provided the manthrams for brahma yagnam. The message will be in the archives I think under " brahma yagnam " . If I may reproduce here what he taught, it is very simple, from what I remember: 1. Sankalpam ( " shri.... priityartham, brahma yagnam karishye, brahma yagnena yakshye " ) 2. Recite " vidyudasi vidyame paapmaanam rutaat satyam upaimi " while wiping the palms with a little water. Then touch eyes, nose, ears (as in the first part of aachamanam) and finally chest. Then keep the hands in the position we normally use for saying sankalpa. 3. Recite any portion of vedam known 4. To finish, recite the following veda manthram 3 times: " om namo brahmane namo astvagnaye namah pruthivyai nama oshadheebhyah namo vaache namo vaachaspataye namo viShNave bruhate karomi " (x3) 5. Finally recite " vrushtirasi vrushchame paapmaanam rutaat satyam upaagaam " and again wipe the palms with water. 6. Finish as for other karmas. I request Sri NVS swAmin or the other learned members to correct any mistakes. praNAmams, namo naaraayaNaaya Ranjan vaideekam , " Narayanan PR " <pr_narayanan wrote: > > Respected nvs Swamin > > I wish to perform all acts like Brahma Jagnam & others > > From where I can get the Procedure & Mantraas > > Daasan > > > *** > Books published by LIFCO in the name of : > " Nithyanushtana Kramam " separately for Vada Kalai & Then Kalai. > > Also books available in Sri Ahobila mutt and in > Srimath Aandavan Ashram in the name of " Ahniham " > > You can search the websites governed by many hundreds of Sri Vaishnava Mahans like Dr. Sadagopachar. > nvs >
