Guest guest
Dear Sri Vasu Vadhyar swamin, Often at major functions like upanayanam, marriage etc. we see the guests offering gifts to the accompaniment of Veda manthrams or paasurams. Sometimes I have heard Tiruppaavai paasurams being used in offering of aashiirvaadams. Can I ask which paasurams are normally used, and is there a particular rule stating when Veda manthrams should be used and when paasurams can be used? with praNaamams, namo naaraayaNaaya Ranjan *** Some Panchaathi (panchathi means a portion of vedham which is having more are less 50 words / 10 sentences) will have some beautiful blessing verses, those are called " Asirvadha Vaakyaani " . They are used to give with the presentation materials. In the olden days, most of our ancestors know vedham and its meaning and also its power. Now we don't know any of the thing. So, Prabandam is also treated as equal to Vedham, and hence some paasurams which are ending with good blessing Vaakyams like " nalla padhathaal manai vaazhvar konda pendir makkale " , " Neengaadha selvam niraindhu " etc. There is no strict rules of using Vedha Panchathi or Pasuram, it is totally depends upon our skill, taste and according to the surrounding and audiance. nvs
