Guest guest
Dear Vasu Vadhyar, I am a beginner, i have learnt from others that Shastram says such and such things like 'perform this', 'don't perform that' etc. Request if you can throw some light on the following :- Is there any book that tells us what all is covered in Shastram? How & When it originated? What are the implications of performing / not performing what is told in Shastram? What is the different between Shastram & Sampradayam? Thanks & Regards, R. Aravamudan [Arvind] *** The questions made by you were taken only few lines (about five lines) it is not that much easy to answer for it. Because, we know that Swami Desikan is the Jnana Samudram, He Himself had described about Sastrams as " Sumaiyaana Kalvigal Suzha vandhalum .... " Kind enough to visit this page given by me. http://www.ahobilam.com/Articles/sastras-info.aspx By reading the above page you can understand what are sastrams, but you could understand its implications and the result of performing and not performing, only after reading those list of texts each minimum few hundred times. nvs
