Guest guest
Dear members, I am hoping to have adhyayanam of Taittirya Upanishad soon. One thing I have often wondered, is that at the end of Taittiriyam there is a section beginning " etat saamagaayannaaste... haaa vu haaa vu haaa vu... " . Can any sAmaveda-adhyAyees clarify for me, as to where this same set of manthrams is found in the Samavedam? Is it taken from a particular suuktham? Does it have a special name, just like we say for " vamadevyam " , etc.? regards, praNAmams, namO nArAyaNAya Ranjan
Guest guest
Sri: Dear Sri Ranjan Swamy, Nice to hear that you are doing adhyayanam of Taittirya Upanishad. Yes, this anuvakam you have quoted resembles the important " setusAmam " of Sama Veda. http://sanskrit.safire.com/SamaVeda.html adiyen has seen both the above Yajur Veda mantra as well as the setu- sAman used for for naivedyam during tiruvaradanam at temple/home. My brihaspati mentioned that this is mentioned in the prayoga-kaarikai for Sama Vedins. Have also heard from vidwans that this is the one of the important samans that nityasoories recite while offering tiruvaradanam at Srivaikuntam. vachika doshaha kshantavyaha. Namo Veda Purushaya! ramanuja dasan. (-Shreyas) vaideekam , " rvv21 " <ranjanvv wrote: > > Dear members, > > I am hoping to have adhyayanam of Taittirya Upanishad soon.
