Guest guest
Respected moderator swamin, Humble pranams, Recently when I did tarpanam, conducted by a brihaspati, I was instrcuted in a new way, which was different from what i had been doing, taught by my family elders. The practice that i found different was: in the pirtu vargam, when mother is there, there was no vasu swaroopam, instead he asked me to start chant from rudra, aaditya and aaditya swaroopa pitamahi. when chanting the mantras, inthe pitha section, there was " madhu vatha.... " though both were different and contrary to what i had been taught, I followed the swamin, since he was the brihaspathi. Later i asked him my doubt, he said, i had been practicing the " smartha " sampradayam. If it was so, I was wondering, if my family elders are also not practicing our sampradaya? Please relive my doubt. With humble pranams, Srivatsa Answers - Get better answers from someone who knows. Tryit now.
