Guest guest
Respected Swamin, (1)My mother, belongs to Thenkalai and she had recently passed away in an Ekadasi thithi and the dahanam was on dwadasi. Should we do the srartham on Ekadasi thithi of dwadasai thithi? The bruhaspathi says that it becomes very difficult to get swamigal for an ekadasi thithi srartham. *** You may wrongly understood the Bruhaspathis opinion. There is a Sampradayam in Thenkalai, that not performing the Chradham in Ekadasi, and it should be done on the next day. It will be mostly be dwadasi, but we should not look for dwadasi, it should be done even if it is not dwadasi thithi for a chradham. Because some times, the Ekadasi thithi may come on the last day of a month and the dwadasi thithi may come on the first day of the month, in this case the chradham should be done on the first day of next month. *** (2)Further, the srardha karmas have to be done by getting the kaipul from my younger sister. Since she may not be at our place on the day of srardham, can she give the kaipul a few days in advance? The problem here two bruhaspathis who are coming to our house differ - one saying it can be done and other protesting that it is not feasible. Sorry for troubing you. Since there are conflicting views, I am seeking these clarifications. Wtih humble respects, GJ *** (2) Here is some confusion. I could not undersatand the questioner is male or female? Why the 'kaipul' to be get from the younger sister? Any how the 'Kaipul' can be get earlier, through courier etc. etc. information to the knowledge of the kartha is the main, all other things are secondary. nvs
