We follow the Panniru Namam sequence for touching the various points, following the Achamanam(Kesava, Narayana....Damodara), whereas the latter have 24 Namam and touching of 24 points. Would be curious to know if there is a Shastric injunction (for Abasthamba Yajus SAka). Similarly a Smartha colleague asked AdiyEn on details on how to perform Vaishnava SrArdham (he mentioned something to do with having 12 Bruhaspathis and Panniru Namam of the lord is called for in this Tharpanam).
