Guest guest
SrI: Dear Sriman Vaasu VadhyAr Swamy : Trust you had a wonderful celebration of Your daughter's wedding . Best wishes for a long , Happy and healthy Life to the newly Married couple ! You are providing very interesting insight to Sriman VaasudEvan's question. Swamy Vedantha Desikan has composed --as an expert in construction of Tamil Poetry ( Sanga Tamizh) -- many Prabhandhams in the following different meters : 1. KattaLai KalitthuRai ( long 4 Liner) 2. KuraL VeNNpaa ( short verse: 2 liner) 3. VeNN Paa( 4 liner) 4. aRu seer, Yezhu seer , YeNN seer Aasiriya Virutthams etc The Kali VeNN Paa might be a hybrid of VeNN Paa and Kalitthurai . This discussion might be outside the scope of Vaidheekam group but it is intersting to see this celebratory aspect of Weddings in Tamil Desam . V.Sadagopan *** Dasan I printed only 450 invitation and distributed only about 400 because the capacity of the Mandapam is only 500 seats. But, everybody told the crowed was found double the capacity of Mandapam. I never failed in the daily duties of Aaradhanam and Nithyanushtanam during the wedding celebration, I was able to control myself without over joy, which gives me pleasure more than the pleasure got by the function. I am very proud about my customers. All my clients have come without receiving any invitation from me. Usually I will announce " Not to congratulate before Panigrahanam " with some explanation in every marriage since 1990. In this marriage few asked me to announce it, but I did not announced anything. But all the crowed were kept quite in pin drop silence and not moved from their places / seats. I hope, it may be due to the respect on me. Also, most of the crowed 75% were not relatives of myself or themselves, so all are 'Atma bhandus', which is the reason for my pleasure. And my Vaideeka Guru Sri. Ue. Ve. Thirukkannamangai Rajagopalachar swamy had performed the vaideekams. Many VIPs like Dr.M.A.Venkatakrishnan, Dr.V.K.S.N.Raghavan, Dr.Raghavan, Dr.S.Padmanabhan and so many VIPs had attended the marriage. Thanks for your kind enquiry, I take this opportunity to thank all the members who had sent the wishes personally to me and Manasikamly. dasan, dasan, dasan nvs *** Sorry for the delay due to the Marriage function of my daughter on 20-01-2008 (yesterday). Everything is OK in the below message except the " seer paadik kaLimaN vaadappOme " . that is not like that - that should be told as : " seer paadik kaLiveN padaippOme " I hope the rest of things will be clear without further explanations. Clue:- KaLi veNpa means, a type of Tamil poem to tell / describe the greatness of someone (king). nvs SrI:

I am myself 67 years old now. " Kali VeNpA pAdi Kalippome " . We will sing Kali VeNpA and we will rejoice over the occassion " dAsan Raghavan " Dr. Sadagopan " <yennappan wrote: ***
