Guest guest Posted January 28, 2008 Report Share Posted January 28, 2008 dear vasu vadyar, kindly let me know what are the systems and who will perform the cremation rites, and shraadh ceremonies for a person with no male children .please also tell me about a) single shraadh performance in gaya b) performance of shraadha by oneself for oneself when alive regards raghunandan *** Answer for a) & b) both are not stressed or instructed by shastram as compulsory karma to be done by anybody. And also they are not coming under upadhyayam (Vadhyar Subject). So, I don't know anything about it and not willing to know. The order of Kartha to perform the final rites as follows: 1. Puthra: - Son 2. Sapathini puthra: - other (second) wife's son 3. Puthrika puthra: - daughter's son 4. Dhatha: - adopted son (Puthra sweekaram rituals performed as per shastram) 5. Powthra: - Son's son 6. Dhanahaari Thouhitra: - grandson who is going to enjoy the wealth 7. Pathni - wife to husband 8. Pathi - husband to wife 9. Braatha - brothers 10.thathputhra: - brother's son 11.pitha - father 12.maathaa - mother I hope the list is enough for now.
