Guest guest
Respected Moderator, Doubts have arisen among many asthikas whether Foreign travel by plane crossing Seas is taboo for performing religious rites or Kainkaryams in Temples as recently there Is news item in the Hindu 17th or 18th Jan 08 That in UDUPI MADWAS religious head was not allowed to do temple kainkaryams as the foreign visit was considered as polluted one. Though initially objections were raised , they were finally resolved that all pujas can be perfomed without touching idols(Which we cannot understand.) Some persons are asking how AIR Travel is polluted one when LORD RAMA and GODDESS.SITA returned to India from Lanka by PUSPAKA VIMANAM by air. For any DOSAM there will be parikaram or prarchitam Is there any solution available in our ” VAISHNAVA SAMPRADAYAM” (AUTHORITATIVE RECORD) on this Subject Please . ADIYAN Chellappa *** It is an important matter but for which we can not find an authenticated solution because the Scholars at present are able to search and tell the matter what are given in shastras, or prayachithams, but they can not create themselves a sub clause on their own. So, nobody should try to find a common solution for it. According to their necessity an individual should explain the reason to a mahan or aacharyan for praychitham and should perform the prayachitham as given. Which is agreed by shastram also with the clause of shastram " An individual can get pariharam by srothriyas " . Also it is not wise or good asking Sri Rama and Sita came by pushpaka Vimanam from Sri Lanka. There we should consider the following things: 1. Sri Rama was not a brahmin he was a Kshathriya 2. As he is the Paramatma he is not only coming from Sri Lanka he also coming from the " Aprakrutha World - Parama padham " to a dirty " Prakruthi " . He himself telling that he is not getting any kind of dhoshas by those birth / avathara activities. So, we can not compare ourselves with Lord or even Aacharyas. To do a sin, why to compare anybody, do it, who is there to stop? We can satisfy ourself and our surroundings, but our explanations have no use before / against shastras. nvs
