Guest guest
Swamin, I am very much surprised and really learning from the replies given by you and we all group members are grateful to you for your service. In the meantime, one of my Iyengar friend " s father is missing since 1987 and he did a lot of search to find him but in vain. He consulted his acharyan in 98 and he was told not to do the rites before 12 years and at that time his mother was alive and she was not be disturbed. In 2001 his mother expired and since that time he is trying to do his fathers karma but whenever he opens the topic about doing karma to his father to any elderly person in his family or anybody who can guide him he meets with accident or his wife with some injuries and his family is problem. When he approach some astrologer he is told by them that there is pitrhu dosham and due to this he is getting problems Moreover for some years his pithamahan's & pithamahi's srartham is also not done by his fathers brothers due to some silly reasons. Can her perform the srartham on behalf of his father? He is helpless now about this topic and may i request you to kindly let me know what should he do next in this matter or any pariharam for the same Once again myself and he will be grateful to you if you can help by providing some advice in this matter Dasan Lakshmanan *** Well, thanks for the trust. Kindly do not club astrology and vaideekam. I do not believe, that we could assume causes and effects for our day to day activities. For an instance, as said by you, you try opening the matter again one day and check is there any thing happens, it it is, do not stop, try next day also, it we continue it will stop. No astrology, No pariharams required for any rituals when it is done as per sastram. Let it be. Now let us come to the vaideeka point. If a person missed and not found continuously 12 years, and we are not able to here anything about him, then the sastra says, the karma should be done for him. It should be done by selecting an ashtami day or something, (I refer and tell later) the dharbha samskaram should be done and the kainkaryam continues from that taken that day as the death day. All other procedures are same except the first day samskaram. Consult your bruhaspathy, if necessary ask your bruhaspathy to contact me for further prayogams and suggestions. Because it will be convenient for me to explain it to him shortly. nvs
