Guest guest
Respected Vasu Vadhyar Mama, I am interested in the practise of Sesha Homam. I have heard that after the vivaham, the ash from the homam should be taken to the groom's home and Graha Pravesham and Sesha Homam be performed there. Then and only then are the bride and groom allowed to be together. Is this correct? I know in recent times, there is a practise of doing Graha Pravesham and Sesha Homam at the mandapam itself. Can this be done? I ask because there is a wedding coming up in which the bride and groom live in different countries and will then be going home to get married. The bride and groom's families live in different cities too (about 400 km). So, there are difficulties in going back to the groom's house, so the recommendation was made to do the Sesha Homam and Graha Pravesham at the mandapam itself. Respectfully, Sreekanth *** In early days, the invitation given only for relative circle, now it is given for all known and unknown persons also, so, the Common marriage hall is required for marriage now a days. In the villages, the marriages are performed only in the bride's house . The grooms people will be provided a separate house temporarily. That house is called grooms house, and all groom's vaideeka karmas will be performed there. Now, they are providing a (few) rooms for grooms side, so, they are the temporary residence of groom and their the karmas can be performed. Tomorrow (10/03/2008) my Son's marriage is going to take place in the manner what you are expecting. I try to describe the procedure after two or three days. I hope you understood, about my time schedule. nvs nvs
